“Caspian Sea: technologies for the environment” Exhibition is inaugurated

The international exhibition “Caspian Sea: technologies for the environment” (CTE-2015) embarked on its work at Baku Expo Centre.

On November 18, the exhibition was reviewed with participation of minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Hussein Baghyrov and minister of Environment and Water of the Republic of Bulgaria Ivelina Vasilyeva.

Dedicated to protection of the environment, the exhibition is realized with support from the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan and IDEA Public Union. Caspian Event Organizers (CEO) is the organizer of the exhibition.

Primary objective of the exhibition is preserving natural resources and promotion and application, in Azerbaijan, of innovative equipment and technologies on protection of the environment that would allow improvement of the population’s well-being. This exhibition is a significant event aiming at protection of environment in the Caspian and Caucasus regions.

“CTE-2015” Exhibition brought together 35 companies from Azerbaijan, Germany, Czech Republic, Russia, Turkey, Switzerland etc. Participating in the environmental exhibition for the second time, the Czech national stand represents 7 companies. Such state entities as the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Ministry of Emergency Situations, “Clean City” OJSC and Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping CJSC, as well as, for the first time, the Ministry of Education participate in the exhibition.

Among debutants of this year’s exhibition there are companies from Switzerland, Czech Republic and Russia. Expositions of three Russian companies are presented at the stand of the Tyumen Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Debutants of the exhibition present equipment on utilization and processing of wastes, water purifying systems, and a number of other products.

In general, along with focusing on the environmental issues and ways of their solution, cutting- edge products on efficient use of natural resources, solid waste collection and utilization systems, state-of-the-art equipment on alternative energy, and other products are displayed at CTE-2015 Exhibition. Moreover, oil companies such as SOCAR and BP present their technologies on water purification and land restoration, and handling of toxic wastes. A new sector is presented within the framework of this exhibition called “Landscape gardening, designing and gardening methods”.

The exhibition will continue until November 20. The exhibition CTE-2015, in addition to demonstrating achievements reached in the field of environmental protection, will also contribute to extending cooperation on environmental issues with government and non-government organizations on national, regional and international levels, as well as holding exchange of experience in the fields of energy saving and application of alternative energy sources.
