President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva and their daughter Leyla Aliyeva participated in a tree-planting campaign devoted to the birthday of national leader Heydar Aliyev in a green area laid out in the 19-30^th kilometres of the Zykh-Heydar Aliyev International Airport highway, May 10.   

The Head of the State and his spouse first familiarized themselves with the stands reflecting the works carried out towards improving the ecological condition in Azerbaijan. 

President Ilham Aliyev, Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva and their daughter Leyla Aliyeva planted trees in the area. 

The President and his spouse were photographed with participants of the tree-planting campaign. 

A total of about 10 thousand olive-trees, Eldar pines, cypresses, Arizona cypresses, blue fir-trees, lemonade cypresses and Leyland trees were planted in an area of 12 hectares, May 10.
