Opening of Secondary School No.4 constructed with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Masazyr village of Absheron took place, October 6.

Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva and Vice-president of the Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the opening of the school.

Children welcomed Mehriban Aliyeva and Leyla Aliyeva.

Construction of the building started in October 2015. Extensive improvement works have been carried out, greenery planted and an illumination system installed in the yard of the education establishment, constructed with high quality.

The school has been provided with necessary furniture and teaching aids in full. There are 36 classrooms in total. 646 pupils study in Azerbaijani and Russian sections in the school, designed for 800 pupils. 38 teachers are engaged in educating them.

A buffet and a sports hall with the total area of 600 m2 have been created here. The 360-seat assembly hall of the school has been built in a modern style. Laboratories of different subjects, including military, biology, physics, information science laboratories, chemistry laboratory and a library will function in Secondary School No. 4 in Masazyr village.

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has been implementing such projects as “New School for Renewed Azerbaijan” and “Support for Education” in the field of education. The objective of these projects is to create an education complex in the country meeting up-to-date standards, and provide support to the state in implementing its education policy. Some 420 schools have been built and reconstructed for the last 11 years within the framework of these projects in various regions of the country.
